This is a college magazine that already exists that I am going to analyse. I think that it is a good magazine because the subtitles are all to the right instead of the orthodox way of having them on the left. This gives students a sense of it being unique which is an immediate unique selling point. Also, the cover colours connotes creativity. This is because the reader looks at the picture and sees paint, but reads the masthead and sees soup. It is advertised to the young and the creative which means that even though it is for students aged around 16-19 it is more specifically aimed at people who like their individuality. Because the picture is quite simply soup on a stove, there are no faces to give an eye gaze of subjective or objective. However, it is slightly ambiguous as if you did not read what the masthead said, then you would probably asume that it is paint. It doesn't appear as though there is any pattern but just organised colouring. It is organised because some colours are in a separate box which covers most of it from the bottom left corner and then different colours on the outer two sided barrier. It is taken in line with the centre of the focus which is the can of soup.
